It is so nice to be here on the Internet, another year. Designing Blues/ Equine Motifs started in 1995 out of one Interior Decorator’s desire to make horse theme designer fabrics and wall borders available to anyone without a designer fee. These beautiful horse theme products are still only available to-the-trade, but each year we sift through the best of the best and present them to you, for as long as they are being milled & manufactured. We’ve included a custom fabrication division as an alternate choice for those who do not want to buy fabric by the yard and do their own stitching.

We joined the Internet world of business in 2002 and have received many accolades for the beautiful patterns we offer. Of course we couldn’t just stop with these two lines of products. Not wanting to duplicate the average tack shop we continued to look for the best of the best or the most beautiful or most unique and sometimes difficult-to-find products. You will see this effort reflected in the beautiful line up we currently carry. We have had to drop a few products along the way either because of lack of interest from our customer base or because of out of the ordinary delays in delivery from our supplier or because a line has been discontinued at the factory. But we have always said goodbye to one of our products, with a heavy heart, as we spend many hours and much effort in our initial selections.

This last year has been incredible for us in our endless search for the best. Could there ever be a horse trailer that is better than all the rest??? Yes, and we have got it! Did you ever try to buy a beautiful ready made stall for a 17 or 18 hand horse?? Forget it, right?? How about building your own stalls and buying the powder coated bars the size you want? How about upgrading your existing barn or old bank barn with these beautiful bars; we have ready made and custom sizing. You shouldn’t have to pay for wood to be shipped half way across the country when it is in your local lumber yard anyway; and that is just what happens when you buy a ready made complete stall.

We are also working on getting a beautiful line of saddles that will fit a Friesian horse and the average draft cross. There is a real need for a saddle that will fit a horse with low to medium withers, a wide spine and a wide flat back, while also fitting the rider that sits in this type of saddle. We are working on it and hope to have this line available sometime this year.

We have found another fabricator for custom bedspreads, drapes and other interior decorating items. This fabricator is willing to supply us with a few ready made items as well. This is yet another new and exciting dimension to “Equine Motifs”. There will be some minor changes to gifts and contemporary art that you will enjoy. The stable and barn section will remain the same and still carry beautiful dressage arenas, jump courses and just about any thing a stable should need.
